Terrorists, authoritarian rulers, and oil profits

(The cartoonist(s) behind that seems to be right-winger (to use oversimplistic language). If I’m correct about that, it’s fitting that they’ve used the title “Black & White World” for book collections of their cartoons. Right-wingers have a way of obscuring and smothering the many shades and colours in our world — not to mention the potential for far more of such rich diversity.)

Of course, the vast majority of Muslims and ‘Arabs’ aren’t terrorists or authoritarian rulers — let alone nasty monsters or animals.

(I mention authoritarian rulers because state rulers in Saudi Arabia have significant control over the oil & gas reserves there.)

Here are a few of my previous posts about those sorts of stereotypes about ‘Arabs’ (i.e. about various ethnicities who are squeezed into that pigeonhole) -
- The Obamas – Black Islamic Terror!
- “Planet of the Arabs”
- Imperialist racism in the movie 300

Here’s a speech in which I placed those racist generalizations into a much broader imperial context -
Imperialism and fossil fuels

Update -
Initially I used the word “tyrants” in this post rather than “authoritarian rulers,” which is in the post now.  That original word choice was somewhat inappropriate; I hadn’t thought it through enough before posting; so I’ve edited the post.
